5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – 99.5 The River
Tune in for the 17th annual AM 810 and 103.1 FM News Talk WGY and 99.5 The River “Cares for Kids Radiothon” to help raise funds for the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.
Your support helps us sustain the programs, services and people that make this hospital a place on which so many families have come to rely for the best pediatric care. From equipment purchases to funding child life specialists, you help ensure that Albany Med’s caregivers are able to provide brighter tomorrows for the thousands of children we serve each and every year – children like 5-year-old Collin Penn of Scotia.
At age 3, Collin was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer that strikes children. With the expert, compassionate care of the doctors and staff at the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital, Collin received six rounds of chemotherapy. Afterward, Collin had a bone marrow transplant in Boston and returned to Albany Med for his critical follow-up treatment. Today, Collin is cancer-free!
